Origins of the Sign:
The Capricorn goat is shown as having a fish tale. This probably comes from the Babylonian god Ea who wore a cloak in the form of a fish skin complete with head and tail. Ea has been described in ancient writings as the "Antelope of the Seas".

Those born under the sign of the ram are often blessed with the great virtue of patience. They all have the desire to succeed in life and are ambitious but some Caprcorns do not succeed because they lack self confidence. Sometimes they will disguise this by pretending to be lazy. Although they have a rather wry sense of humour Capricorns can appear cold and they do have problems expressing tender emotions. If you want to be wooed with chocolates and flowers don't date a Capricorn. Capricorns are almost painfully practical in matters of the heart and will even purposely delay looking for a partner until they feel established in their career or financially stable enough. They can also be quite calculating in their choice of life partner and will look to the money and status of a potential paramour. Capricorns find it hard to express their deepest feelings and they need to realise that their partner may need reassurance.
Food:
Capricorns are by and large traditionalists. The sign rules herbs and fruit, especially wild fruit. Food like Christmas turkey and sunday roast with all the trimmings are Capricorn food. Capricorns do not care much for whole food or organic food but are very concerned with the impact that a meal will have. Grand, festive meals are what Capricorns value. At other times they tend to eat to live rather than live to eat.

Some Capricorns prefer plain and simple decor whereas others love ostentation and believe in flaunting what wealth they have.
