Origins of the Sign:
The scales depicted in this sign are probably linked to the tax assessment of the Egyptian harvest. Scales were used to weigh the grain. There may also be an association with the Babylonian idea of scales being used to weigh up whether or not a person had led a good life.

Full of indecision, the Libran will always try to avoid taking sides and thus hurting other peoples' feelings.
