The Ace of Cups in The Minor Arcana
The Ace of Cups shows a left hand emerging from the clouds. The hand holds a long stemmed golden cup full of water which is cascading in four streams over the rim falling into the water below. There are water lilies growing on the expanse of water. A white bird dips a round disk marked with a cross into the cup. This disk represents the host as used in communion.
When the Ace of Cups turns up in a reading the querent needs to be aware of the influence of love somewhere in their situation. This is not necessarily a romantic love but it is a deep and perfect love. It may only be beginning and the querent may be unaware of its existence but the Ace of Cups is the place where true love resides and its power is there for the questioner to use. Love has many forms and guises and it may be waiting, ignored or rejected. This card asks the querent to examine their inner feelings and to accept or give love in whatever form it takes in their life.
Summary: Look for love.
