The Eight of Pentacles shows a craftsman, possibly a stonemason, working with a hammer and chisel. He sits on a bench, working the design on a golden pentacle. The pentacle is supported by a block. One pentacle lies beneath the bench, one is on the end of the bench and the remaining five seem to be fixed along the length of a tree.
In the distance there is a church and settlement.
When the eight of pentacles turns up in a reading the querent knows that now is the time to concentrate on their career or pet project. They need to just shut themselves away and get on with it without any distraction.
