The Moon - Card 18 in The Major Arcana
The Moon stares down sternly at the earth where two dogs howl up at the heavens and a crab crawls out of a pond. In the middle distance there are two stone towers. Droplets fall from the Moon.
The droplets are supposed to be dew falling into the crab's dew pond. The crab probably represents the Zodiac sign of Cancer.
The whole Moonlit scene is very reminiscent of Isiah's words "the Moon shall shine with a brightness like the sun...on the day when the Lord binds up the broken limbs of his people and heals their wounds". These words also seem to lead the way to the appearance of the Judgement card, which is number 20 in the Major Arcana.
This card in a reading:
Upright: The Moon represents all that is hidden and mysterious in the world. Its light presides over the realm of night and it urges the querent to embrace the unknown without fear. However moonlight is not strong and those who seek enlightenment should be wary of what may lurk in the shadows.
Reversed: Instability, inconsistency, silence, lesser degrees of deception and error.
Summary: Keep a clear head.
