The Nine of Swords shows a person sitting up in bed (in the middle of the night?). The person is holding his/her head in his/her hands in a gesture of total despair. To the side of the bed are nine swords suspended horizontally against the black background. There is a rich looking cover on the bed with green and yellow squares. Each yellow square is decorated with a red rose.
The Nine of Swords is a very uncomfortable card and it can indicate worry and heart - searching for the querent. What is keeping the questioner awake at night? What negative thoughts of guilt and despair are racing through his or her head?
The querent will no doubt recognise what this card refers to and may be able to stand back and assess his or her problems more clearly. There may be a solution which can do away with all those restless nights.
