A battle-weary looking man, head bandaged, stands at the front of the Nine of Wands card. He holds one wand in front of him and the other eight stand behind him. In the distance there are barren hills.
When the Nine of Wands turns up in a reading it leaves the querent in no doubt that they must keep battling on. Whatever their present problems they need to use the strength of this card to follow their destiny. When under attack the querent should hold onto his or her principles and never give in.
