The Seven of Swords in The Minor Arcana

The Seven of Swords shows a man dressed in a yellow tunic, green hose and orange boots trimmed in black. The man carries five swords, holding them by the points. Two swords are stuck in the ground. In the background there are some elaborate military tents. There is an element of stealth and subterfuge in this card. The man looks as if he is stealing the swords and quietly making off with them. The image in this card is probably based on a story written by Renaut de Montaubon in which Mangis d'Aigremont cast a sleeping spell over Charlemagne and his knights and stole their swords.

The Seven of Swords can remind the querent of something that they feel is best left undiscovered. This card indicates some sort of subterfuge be it petty or serious. The querent needs to examine his or her life and review any lying or cheating that may be going on in it. It might be that someone else is behaving badly or that the querent has not behaved as well as they could.

Sneaky, dishonest people are rarely happy ones.

Summary: Behave!
