Strength - Card 8 in The Major Arcana
A woman dressed in a white robe garlanded with leaves and flowers bends down to hold the jaws of a lion. The woman wears a floral crown with a figure eight above. She stands in a verdant landscape.
The female figure could have originally represented the nymph Cyrence who was seen by Apollo as she wrestled with a lion. Again the figure eight shows that the Holy Spirit is present.
This card in a reading:
Upright: Inner strength and quiet determination are needed to solve the problems facing the querent.
Reversed: Loss of nerve, lack of courage.
Summary: Take strength from within.
