The Two of Wands in The Minor Arcana

In the Two of Wands a man stands looking from the parapet of what is presumably a castle. In his right hand he holds a globe and in his left he holds a wand which is resting on top of a crenellation. Beneath the wand the stone is decorated with roses and lilies. The other wand which is larger seems to be attached to the parapet wall. Both wands are sprouting leaves.

The man is dressed in a heavy cloak and a merchant's hat. He gazes across a vista of houses, woodland, water and mountains.

This card in a reading speaks of the power that each of us can tap into. We all hold the world in our hands and this card makes us aware of it. We need to stand apart and consider how best to use these considerable powers.

If a situation is worrying the querent when they see this card, he or she should take a step back and decide what part the issue of power is playing. It could be that someone else wants power over the querent or that the querent is not using his or her own powers wisely for the best possible outcome.

Summary: Power to the people.
